I have downloaded and installed the latest drivers from the HP website along with their HP Support Assistant Software. It cannot detect a problem either. I attempted to Add a Printer using it's IP address or Hostname. Using the help option on the printer itself I was able to obtain the hostname of the device. When I type that into the Add a Printer Wizard it thinks about it for a minute, tells me the driver for that printer is already installed, asks me if I want to use that driver or a different one, then, when I choose an option it tells me it cannot install the printer. After posting my last reply, I went into the Add a Printer Wizard again and it naturally recognized my printer. I clicked on it and told it add it. It said it was installing it and acted like it was going to work.

When it finished, it asked me if I wanted to set it as default and gave me an option to Print a Test Page. I attempted to print the test page but nothing happened. Then, I chose the option to set it as the default printer and get the response indicted below Now I'm back to square one as the printer is listed in Devices and Printers, I can use the HP app to scan from it, but cannot print anything to it at all. Another weird thing I've noticed is that when I right click on the printer in Devices and Printers, it doesn't show printer options, it only shows scanner options Start scan, Scan profiles, Scan properties as if my Surface thinks the device is only a scanner despite the current drivers and software being installed. I have the same problem as above. My electrical system fused in the middle of working. Everything came back as normal, but when I went to print later in the day I got the same result as those above. The weird thing is that my scanner, which is a brother inkjet printer, works as a scanner but I can't get the system to recognise it as a printer.
